DESCRIPTION:Virtual Class: The purpose of this class is to provide real estate professionals working in today's diverse real estate environment with the knowledge and information they need to understand the importance of fair housing laws and ensure they are responsibly practicing real estate in a nondiscriminatory fashion. Note: As part of the ethics training requirement\, NAR new member applicants must now complete two hours of fair housing training\, and existing members must complete two hours every three years as a condition of membership. This class satisfies the NAR Fair Housing Requirements for Cycle 8.\nObjectives: After taking this class students will be able to: Define and understand the topic of Fair Housing Describe the history of Fair Housing Laws and why they are important Understand Florida State and County level Fair Housing Protections Explain the Seven Protected Classes and the characteristics of each Recognize activities prohibited under Fair Housing Laws and what actions are illegal Understand how Fair Housing Laws affect Advertising & Marketing and describe best practices Explain Steering and Redlining and recognize the danger in making assumptions based on stereotypes Define and recognize explicit and implicit bias Explain the effects of bias in Fair Housing and how to prevent it Identify exemptions to Fair Housing Laws and adherence to Reasonable Accommodations Know what resources are available to provide Fair Housing information to clientsInstructor: TBDA Zoom link will be emailed to you one week prior to the class along with class materials.CANCELATION POLICY: By registering for this class or event\, you agree that if you do not show up or provide 24 hours' notice\, I will be charged a $15.00 no show fee.
